SafeDay Certification | Annual Childcare Compliance Program
SafeDay Certification is an externally assessed by Barrick Group security consultants annual compliance program designed for Australian childcare providers. Delivered by Barrick Group security consultants, it gives your organisation a fully documented security framework that meets the requirements of the 2025–2026 National Quality Framework.
From physical site security to staff training and incident response, the program covers every aspect of your centre’s security posture, giving regulators, families, and insurers confidence that your organisation takes child safety seriously.
What’s Included
Every SafeDay Certification includes the following components:
- Full risk management framework – a documented security policy tailored to your centre’s specific environment and operational context
- Site-specific risk assessment – on-site evaluation of entry points, supervision zones, CCTV coverage, and no-go areas
- Staff training modules – practical training on CCTV use, incident classification, escalation procedures, and NQF obligations
- Physical site security review – assessment of locks, barriers, camera placement, and access control systems
- Compliance gap analysis – a detailed report identifying areas of non-compliance with recommended remediation steps
- Certification documentation – formal certification issued by endorsed consultants and valid for 12 months
How the Program Works
SafeDay Certification follows a structured six-step process, delivered on-site at your centre by a Barrick Group security consultant.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Your organisation books an initial consultation. Your consultant reviews your current setup, identifies areas for assessment, and schedules the site visit.
Step 2: On-Site Assessment
A Barrick Group consultant visits your centre to conduct the physical security assessment, reviewing entry points, CCTV coverage, supervision zones, and access controls.
Step 3: Risk Framework Development
A site-specific risk management framework is developed and delivered to your organisation, documenting your security posture and compliance obligations under the NQF.
Step 4: Staff Training Delivery
Your team completes targeted training modules covering incident detection, SafeDay alert response, escalation procedures, and NQF compliance requirements.
Step 5: Certification Issued
Your centre receives formal SafeDay Certification, an externally verified mark of childcare security compliance, valid for 12 months.
Step 6: Annual Renewal
Certification is renewed annually to keep your compliance documentation current as your centre, team, or regulatory obligations change.
